24 Character Strengths
24 Character Strengths were first introduced by Martin Seligman and Christopher Peterson. Currently, the whole concept is taken care of by the VIA Institute on Character.

Discovering 24 strengths was yet another missing puzzle to me. After exploring 16 personalities and attachment styles, everything started to take a satisfactory shape in my mind, however, I couldn’t shake the feeling that there was something more.
Learning my 5 signature strengths has opened my eyes to… well… to the traits of mine that I didn’t even consider my strengths. For instance, my top 1 signature strength is: Love of Learning. Before that, I’d thought I was just curious and nothing more. But when I reflected on that, I recognised that actually I could make a use of my asset, I could take a conscious step towards the usage of it on a daily basis. My third strength is Creativity, and this website can be a illustrative example of my top strengths usage. My main focus is put on doing research (Love of Learning) and then making Pictorial Essentials (Creativity).

What I also genuinely love about the theory is that once you know the concept, you can help other people spot their strengths and highlight how wonderful they are. Especially since, as we know, the darkest place is under the candlestick – what’s inherently with us is the hardest to see, and even if we do, we tend to downplay the importance of our strengths, focusing too much on the assets of other people.
But you know what? I’ve watched so many different people, and the most successful ones are those who are following their natural gifts and passions; those who don’t try to repeat someone else’s scenario. And it’s true, isn’t it? Nowadays we can observe so many legends in various fields – Elon Musk, Tony Robbins, J.K.Rowling, Lewis Hamilton, Oprah Winfrey, Richard Branson, (and thousands of others), and we may dream of having the exact same path of life as they did. But the thing is, we are making our own unique stories, we’re making use of our own unique skills, experiences, etc.
